Purple flowers found while taking a walk in the woods at a local park.
I'm not sure what kind of flower they are.
An American Toad, Bufo americanus, that volunteered to pose for the camera!
Boots at my mother's house.
He loves laying on her shelf under the little flag.
Pretty sunflower
Bright and gay,
How you capture
The bright sun's ray.
Itty Bitty Litte Weed,
Just as pretty as can be.
Growing in my garden fair,
Around my boots,
I know they're there!
Snuggly, cuddley,
Cute as can be.
When Gizmo sleeps,
An angel is he!
Bumble bee, bumble bee
On a summer's day.
Buzzing bee, buzzing bee
In the garden today.
Where do yo come from?
What do you do?
Besides make honey,
For me and for you?
Busy, Busy little bee,
Tell me now what you see.
Purple flowers in the sun,
Do you visit every one?
Busy, busy little bee,
Oh, how special you will be.
This intolerable August heat made me dive back into my winter pictures.
This is one of my all time favorite photographs that I have ever taken.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
Petunias are pink,
Hmm... What are you?
Pretty Petunias, pink and white,
Thanks for making this garden bright.
Crabby, crab by the bay.
Little crab on a summer's day.
Sleeping there in the sand,
Left behind by nature's hand.
Why did you have to stay?
Why don't you just walk away?
What better place is there to retire than the garden?
After a good life, I hope that someday I'm in their shoes......
One of the things I look forward to every spring is the flowers. These little flowers have always delighted me with their happy little faces bobbing in the breeze. Even on the gray days they seem so happy!
These sunny Black-Eyed Susans were growing in my father's garden in New Hampshire. They looked so cheerful I just had to capture them.
